This has been a problem with no way around it whatsoever. The sword completely stops swinging despite consistently clicking ~10cps. It's not just a problem with the animation, no damage is dealt.
Here are 3 videos of the issue, all from different players: https://youtu.be/fMSd0azzSfc https://youtu.be/VkhQOwGwESQ https://youtu.be/IfC5yxaHM0Y
Note: This issue still exists on vanilla Minecraft. Clients have nothing to do with it.
What I've noticed:
- it is not a problem with the mouse, tested with multiple different mice but problem still persists
- doesn't happen in 1.7
- factory resetting pc didn't fix it, problem still exists running minecraft shortly after factory reset with nothing else downloaded on the pc
- uninstalling/reinstalling mouse software didn't fix it
- happens everywhere across all clients, vanilla Minecraft, and Forge.
- happens on all servers and singleplayer survival on 1.8
- does not seem to happen in 1.8 creative mode
- has nothing to do with lag, ping, or Hypixel's no hit glitch
- brand new pc, issue still persists
- tested with another account, issue still persists
From attempts on fixing it, it seems like it's a problem with Minecraft code itself. However, that wouldn't make sense. If its due to the "leftClickCounter" implemented from 1.8, why isn't everyone on 1.8 having this issue? Furthermore, it was never fixed despite getting a whole new pc.
My friend and I have been looking for fixes since July 2020, but none worked. Help would be much appreciated, hopefully it'll be resolved soon as any PvP game is now unplayable.
