Page stuck on "Connecting to the realm"

      I am trying to connect to my friend's realm server but every time I try and connect it's stuck on "Connecting to the realm". The bars are still moving yet after waiting 10 minutes nothing has happened. I have tried restarting MC and my PC. I have tried disabling firewalls and still, nothing has worked.
