I noticed that fossils will just spawn in wacky ways in all of the larger caves now, especially the cheese caves. Before this wasn't much of a problem since caves weren't that wide or tall, but now they just look super weird floating in the air or halfway sticking out of the walls. They will also apparently spawn underwater in the aquifers, which actually looks pretty cool but I doubt that is intentional.
