In the first snapshot dripleaves came with an interesting feature for casual and more advanced players, it allowed the community to remove blocks which aren't breakable by hand or using tnt, this is a very annoying bug for all the minecraft survival comunity and I hope it gets fixed soon.

Obviously in real life plants can slowly make his way in between blocks so I don't see why this was considered a bug in the first place.
