This is a simple bug. When you go into spectator mode and click on an entity,(e.g. creeper, spider) it just black screens out as if the view is just a black screen. However, if you press you sneak key,(left alt in my case) it will return to normal, as I have said, as if the entities' view is just a black screen. This is only a minor issue.
