Buttons are unable to be right clicked or destroyed by non-op players within spawn protection. However, arrows and tridents (maybe more) can activate wooden buttons. Same with pressure plates, but non-op players are able to activate them. That is probably intentional. Additionally the button and player arm will animate when right clicking despite nothing happening.
Also affects dripleaf, but its not clear if that is intentional because dripleaf is more similar to a pressure plate in that it does not require a right click to activate.
