"Smooth" block terminology is inconsistent with the appearances of blocks

      This is very likely wontfix, but is still potentially something to note:

      when comparing smooth blocks to their non-smooth counterparts, obvious inconsistencies can be found. For stone, its smooth variant now has a border, but in the case of quartz, its variant explicitly does not. It may be worth renaming certain blocks to eliminate this, for example "Smooth Stone" to "Cut Stone" or "Polished Stone" (and possibly reworking the recipe accordingly).
