Upon the launching of 1.16.4 or 1.16.5 on MacOS on my system, the Minecraft application cannot load anything. This includes, private IPs, LAN games, public servers, and even single player worlds. The application does not even allow the creation of new worlds.

On loading of anything, the application will load the data properly and show the "Joining World" screen, but shortly after, the application changes "Joining World" to "Saving World" and proceeds to freeze, forcing me to force quit the application from the Force Quit Applications menu.

Upon further inspection by running and joining my own running CraftBukkit 1.16.4 server, I see that my player registers as joined, but once the application switches to "Saving World", it does not recognize my player as leaving the server. Once I force quit the application, the server recognizes that I left.

I have tried running Vanilla, Optifine, and Fabric, and yet all of them yield the same result.

Once I have force quit the application, the Minecraft Launcher reopens with the following error message:

      "

      ERROR

      Game Crashed

An unexpected issue occurred and the game has crashed. We're sorry for the inconvenience.

      Exit Code: 0

      "

This error has started occurring only after the recent update to the Minecraft Launcher. This error also seems to only impact 1.16 because running 1.8.9 with Optifine works as expected.
