Skulk Sensor vibration detection not working in some instances. Or working in some instances it shouldn't.

While testing out the skulk sensors I decided to do some tests on wool. While messing around I found that if you placed buttons, levers, trap doors on all 4 side of a wool block and then place a skulk sensor on top of or below that wool block, the sensor will only pick up the vibrations from items placed on the West and East sides of the block but not the North and South sides. Since two sides work and two sides don't I'm not sure if all side are supposed to be detectable vibrations or if they're all not supposed to be detectable vibrations.
