The Bug:
Flying with elytra while inside or near blocks produces their step sounds.
It seems quite bizarre that footstep sounds can be produced while flying with elytra because the player isn't actually stepping inside or near blocks, therefore one would expect no footstep sounds to be produced.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Summon a large area of trapdoors by using the command provided below.
/fill ~1 ~15 ~1 ~50 ~15 ~50 minecraft:oak_trapdoor[half=top]
- Equip elytra and obtain some firework rockets.
- Fly underneath the line of trapdoors using the elytra and as you do this, listen closely.
- Take note as to whether or not flying with elytra while inside or near blocks produces their step sounds.
Observed Behavior:
Stepping sounds are produced.
Expected Behavior:
No stepping sounds would be produced.
