The Bug:
Mobs killed by trusted foxes don't drop experience or rare drops upon death.
When a tamed wolf kills a mob, the given mob will drop experience along with having a chance of dropping its assigned rare drops upon its death, however, this same concept cannot be seen with trusted foxes, therefore introducing an inconsistency.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Summon two foxes and breed them using sweet berries.
- Switch into survival mode and summon a nearby zombie by using using the command provided below.
/summon minecraft:zombie ~2 ~ ~2 {Health:1f,ArmorItems:[{},{},{},{id:"minecraft:iron_helmet",Count:1b}],Attributes:[{Name:"minecraft:generic.movement_speed",Base:0.0}]}
- While the trusted baby fox is nearby, approach the zombie so that it attacks you.
- Wait for the fox to notice and begin attacking the zombie.
- Pay close attention to the contents that the zombie drops upon its death.
- Take note as to whether or not mobs killed by trusted foxes don't drop experience or rare drops upon death.
Observed Behavior:
Mobs killed by trusted foxes don't drop experience or rare drops upon death.
Expected Behavior:
Mobs killed by trusted foxes would drop experience and would have a chance of dropping rare drops upon death, following the behavior of when tamed wolves kill mobs.
