So, I was playing in my 1.16.4 world, where I was trying to escape from Lava, thus spamming vines on top of lava. But then, after I'd spammed for a minute or so, the vines didn't disappear after the bottom vine being burnt in lava.

**note- if you want to try this, stand in the lava and spam vines on top of each other.
