When throwing a snowball the vibration for the item being used is detected before the snowball impact, causing the snowball impact to be ignored.
This could be intentional, but given the nature of the warden it seems likely that it would be intended for the only vibration to be detected to be the snowball breaking wherever it has an impact.
The attached screenshot shows the behavior in effect, where the vibration from using the snowball is detected by the Sculk Sensor, and the activation time of the sensor causes the snowball break to be ignored.
