If statistics are selected with the tab button in the general, items, or mobs tab of statistics or in languages then they cannot be navigated up or down by holding the up arrow or down arrow. Instead, the up arrow or down arrow must be pressed individually every time the player wishes to move one. This control is inconsistent with the resource pack, multiplayer select, and singleplayer world tab selection controls and also results in a lot of unnecessary pressing to move up or down that could worsen carpal tunnel syndrome.
