When you hold a fishing rod, it appears to be cast. This does not affect the ability to actually cast it, and it still functions properly, but the visual seems wrong. Though the rod in the following video is enchanted and has been altered by an anvil, this recreatable with a standard rod that is unenchanted and not affected by an anvil. video link
