After updating Minecraft Java to the current version, I noticed the game has reclassified my Snowy Taiga Hills biome as a Taiga Hills biome.

As I never expected this, I don't have a screen-capture of before the update (when weather was snowing as usual). I checked and saw "Taiga Hills" after pressing F3, instead of Snowy Taiga Hills, when it began raining instead of snowing. Rain had never happened in this biome on this saved game before, ever.
