When a candle is placed on a cake and a user interacts with the cake when their hunger bar is full, the candle block remains on the cake yet an infinite number of candle items are dropped as long as interact is held down.
This does not happen when the player's hunger bar allows them to eat the cake, as that will just cause the candle to drop normally. It only happens when a player interacts with the cake and their hunger bar is full.
