Charged creepers stay frozen in time and space like holograms after exploding

What I expected to happen was...:
Charged creepers should disappear post-explosion...

What actually happened was...:
They didn't; instead they appeared as an intangible static hologram. 

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Make a charged creeper explode.
