The golden pickaxe can mine ores, but nothing drops when it does. I first saw this happen in a realms server, and it's still happening on my own survival world.

I can't mine Redstone, Diamonds, Emeralds, or Gold ore with the Golden pickaxe, no matter what enchantments are on it.
