Since vines and associated blocks are now (as of 1.14) climbed with the jump button, the fact that walking into them with it disabled still causes climbing (an action associated with the jump key) seems pretty wrong.

I can see this being considered wontfix though as a large number of players disable auto jump and climb ladders via walking into.
