I was in my world filling in craters using structure blocks. When I was filling in holes caused by explosions, it seemed everything froze. Entitys wouldn't move or make sound, redstone would stop working, GUIs wouldn't open, commands and chat won't work, items wouldn't drop, mobs won't spawn when using a spawn egg, and anything entity related wouldn't work. It seemed like time stopped completely. whenever I would leave the world after it froze, it would not save anything that happened. I noticed it only affected one area of the world and not the other, and this bug doesn't affect other worlds. I have a theory that the world got corrupted somehow. when I move away from that broken area in the world after it froze, command block GUIs would open, but all the buttons are unclickable except for the "cancel" button. There was a redstone clock connected to a note block, and when I broke it after loading the world, the game crashed a few seconds after I did that. For some reason, I thought the clock was causing this bug. the game has crashed a few times when I was trying to solve the issue. After breaking that redstone clock, the game would crash everytime I would move east from the broken area. I also thought that the structure block had something to do with the bug, but it didn't. The game would save if I leave the world before everything froze. At this point, I believe there could be a corrupted block, entity, or chunk that's causing this. since it only affects that one area, it could be a corrupted chunk or something corrupted in the files. The game crashing whenever I move east might be the result of a corrupted chunk. I went back into the world and left that area before it froze, and other GUIs worked. I placed an anvil in the broken area, and clicked on it, then i moved away and the GUI popped up for a brief moment. I moved east again, and the game didn't crash this time. This bug has happened in other worlds before, but with those worlds, the game would save, but the entire world would be affected, but I deleted that world because of that. This is one of those bugs that makes it impossible to play the game until it's fixed.
