I couldn't spawn ANY hostile mobs in creative. For some reason I could only spawn passive mobs.
What I expected to happen was...:

I thought the zombies would spawn.

I started a new world on flat and spawned near a village. Since I was in creative I tried to spawn zombies and they disappeared as soon as I right-clicked. I tried all the hostile mobs and again they turned invisible.

1. Put a step by step guide on how to trigger the bug here
