I've been pacifying any pillagers  that come through in my survival world (i.e. making them break their crossbows), and had no problem while I was hosting the world on my own PC. Once the pillagers lost their crossbows, they would walk around with their arms down at their sides with no issue whatsoever.

However, after having some game performance issues due to my limited graphics card, I decided to upload my world onto a server to alleviate some of those issues, and once I had done that, the pacified pillagers all started walking around with both of their arms outstretched in front of them when I got close to them, and then kept holding them up that way even after I walked away (see first 2 screenshots). I have pacified 16 pillagers in total, and all of them have this glitch now.

I have tried re-downloading the world and opening it up again as a singleplayer world, and this did not fix the issue (though, when I log out of the singleplayer world, and log back in, they do have their arms down at their sides until I'm within about 6-8 blocks of them again)

I have also removed the few datapacks that I was using and tried loading up the world without Optifine, and neither of these things fixed the issue

Interestingly, I went into creative mode and used the "/replaceitem" command to give one pillager a new crossbow, and then disarm him again, and he went back to holding his arms at his sides (picture 3) until I went back into survival mode and got close again. But the pillager only returns to having this glitch if in the presence of other pillagers with the glitch. If isolated, the glitch doesn't come back.

Hopefully this information is helpful in patching this bug. I know it isn't a major issue, but the bug renders these pacified pillagers basically useless for any sort of use for any sort of aesthetic use.
