in a setup where you can be on a gold and stone pressure plate hold down jump to see that some times they activate and deactivate at the same time but sometimes the stone is delayed (you can use pistons with updater pistons to visualize this)

It seems that if you wait longer on the pressure plates they will deactivate at the same time however if you dont wait then the stone will deactivate a few ticks later
