infinity enchantment doesnt work with tipped arrows

      I was just playing Minecraft, I had got an infinity bow and a tipped arrow (harming 2), I was in the nether and I shot a ghast, but my harming 2 arrow had disappeared, I had a few normal arrows so I thought why not shoot the ghast with those? so I shot the ghast and surprise, surprise. no arrows disappeared, please fix this.
