Currently in 16.1 Java

Ok so I created my first nether portal went to the nether and did my thing. when i went back to the over world, i broke my existing nether portal as i was going to create a new portal later at a new base later on. So i traveled far and explored for further and built a new base and another nether portal.

So i after i created this new nether portal, i entered and to my surprise it took me to the same portal exit as i did when i created my first portal, Now i thought it would take me somewhere new in the nether, but it didnt. So I was like ok ill go back to the over world.. How ever when it took me back to the over world. MInecraft created a new portal in the middle of a field not far from where i had my first nether portal. And every time i go back to second portal go to the nether it keeps making new portals everytime.. Please see picture attached.
