The textures of Pumpkins and Jack o' Lanterns have the same texture on the bottom and the top.
I think that maybe the recent change with resource packs, or possibly the new 1.5 texture file system has bugged the reference to the Pumpkin and Jack o' Lantern bottom file, as I have not noticed any texture glitches in previous versions.
