I have checked and this is affecting every version of Minecraft back to 1.8. I was able to play last night, but when I went to get on this morning, after the game had popped up and was loading, it stopped responding. I was playing modded, so I thought something might have happened with a mod, but upon going back to the launcher and loading vanilla minecraft, the same thing happened. The program stopped responding. I let it sit almost half an hour and still nothing. I backed up my .minecraft folder, deleted it, and had it reinstall: same thing. I went and check 1.15.2: same thing. I went and checked 1.0 and it loaded fine which prompted me to check. Everything up to 1.7.10 loads fine, but once it goes to 1.8 I start experiencing the same issue. I have made certain my system and drivers are up to date and also made certain I had the most recent edition of Java to make certain those weren't the conflicting source, but this did not work either. I am at a loss for what to try next since there is no crash (except when I force the program to end since it's not responding), so there's nothing that I know of that I can send that might help diagnose the issue.
