It lags my iMac in version 1.5.2

      I have minecraft version 1.5.2 with the new launcher and when i launch minecraft with the new launcher it lags my computer and it goes like 10 FPS and when i press F3 it says i am at 60 FPS

      My iMac:
      RAM: 8GB
      Processor: 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5
      OS: OS X 10.8.4
      Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M 512 MB
