I created an iron farm in the sky using pillagers to scare my villager pods to create golems. Using a piston to push the pillager up for the villagers to see in order to scare them. When I put the pillager down, golems still spawn. When I got rid of the pillager all together, golems continued to spawn even though there was nothing to scare the villagers.
