I play Snapshot 1.6 via DevLauncher.

This is more of a question then a bug report.
Yesterday I have bred horses by a dozen using wheat while riding tame horses.
Today I moved some horses to spawn and tried to breed them there. I couldn't anymore. I returned to where I bred the horses first and couldn't do it there anymore either.
I tried waiting for 5 minutes, in case the game thought I had just bred them: Nothing
I tried restarting the game twice: Nothing.
So I searched on this site.
Is it true we now need Golden Apples to breed horses?
To be honest, I think that is way too expensive!
