Items get deleted when using the 'hold down q to drop items quickly' functionality

What I expected to happen was...:
When I pick up the items I dropped I would get the same items as the items I dropped 

What actually happened was...:
Many of the items were missing

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Be in creative mode
2. Open inventory
3. Hold down q on a fairly large stack of items
4. Pick up dropped items
