If you use the original resource pack in Minecraft 1.14.4 java edition, the quartz block stairs don't behave like they should considered the fact that it has two types( minecraft:smooth_quartz_stairs and minecraft:quartz_stairs).

The smooth version of the quartz is working correctly, but the block type quartz stairs isn't.

The block versions problem is when it is connected to another stair ina an angle, where one stair is facing in a different direction! The texture on the bottom is normal when its in the normal state, how it renders when you put it down alone. But when it is connected the texture on the bottom changes to the smooth version.

The bug is origanetd from the quartz_stairs.json file which located in the blockstates folder. In the file it uses the right code for the all four faces of the stairs, the top always stays the same, but the bottom isn't specified, and that's the problem. Bcos this was the original block from early on in minecraft when quartz stairs were introduced, but when they introduced the smooth version of the quartz stairs, it wasn't recoded so it wouldn't change it's bottom textur, thats how it should work now, bcos even the block version of the quartz has its bottom changed to the sides, and stairs look ugly when you pair it with the quartz blocks! And it's not really fixable with a resourcepack either!

I wod really appreciate the answer!

And it would be awesome to get a reworked . json file for the quartz block stairs!

      Thank you in advance!
