When in spectator mode, you can see that the bottom face of the torches on repeaters is only culled when the torches are lit. This also applies to the bottom face with the bedrock block texture that appears when repeaters are locked. I expected these bottom faces to never show up since you can never see them unless you're on spectator mode. The same thing happens to comparators.
