      Placing signs on fences doesn't open writing menu

      What I expected to happen was: the writing GUI opens and I write my text.

      What actually happened was: The sign menu didn't open and the sign was placed with no text.

      Steps to Reproduce:
      1. Place a sign on a fence or nether brick fence
      2. The sign will be placed with no text
