My crops don't seem to grow unless I am nearby them. My farm basically becomes useless if I ever wish to explore. I have also noticed that many baby mobs (mainly villagers) don't seem to grow up unless I am in the village or somewhere nearby. I have tested this by using commands and changing randomtickspeed to 800 (default is 3). I wait until the crops grow at the village. Once they have fully grown I changed the tick speed back to default and returned to my base, however none of my crops have grown at all.
