I have noticed that crops and mobs (mainly villagers) don't grow when I'm not nearby. I have been working on a village which is around 50 chunks away from my main base and I have been spending a lot of my time there. Usually just making new villagers and building new homes/stations. The issue being is that when I leave the village and return to my base my crops have barely grown at all (even though it has been around 30 minutes). Any baby mobs that I left also have not grown. This happens with both the village and my base. I could leave the village for around an hour and return to the baby villager not grown up (I am sure it is not a new villager either) and any crops barely grown. Makes it hard to explore or go mining because I always need to be nearby to make sure that it grows.
