I'm not sure if this is intended but I thought when you craft wooden stairs you get 6 stairs for the 6 blocks you put in. I know it changed with stone as it is 6 to 4 so you should use the stonecutter but I thought it remained with wood however I have noticed it crafts 4 wooden stairs for 6 blocks
