I've been playing Minecraft casually for the past month on hard mode and I've noticed that whenever I move into a village and start on improvements, within a week all the minecraft villagers are dead or zombies, no matter (and I stress no matter) what improvements I make, such as walls and lighting, and even if I mine during the evenings or go away from the village to avoid a zombie invasion. This sounds like either bad Villager AI or too aggressive mob spawning within villages. The pattern is, I move in the first day, make walls around the village, light up everything, and in the process lose a couple of villagers. I then spend a couple more days mining and come back and another two or three are dead, plus the golem. I have two left, and in the process of trying to improve their house to get them to breed, they wander off and suicide somehow. I would recommend some alteration to mob spawn rates within village perimeters, some kind of alteration to villager ai, or somthing else. I mean, is it really realistic or useful that the deciding factor whether a village perishes or not is whether I am there?
