When alt tabbing out of Minecraft 1.12.2 and below, the game doesn't actually alt tab. But just hide the window, causing it to still register inputs instead of allowing access to the desktop.

I've discovered a bug that "soft locks" your PC by not allowing you to interact with the desktop, but rather with Minecraft despite being out of focus. Take for example, I'd like to open a new tab, instead, Minecraft will detect it as me wanting to resume the game. The problem is, this locks me out of pressing anything on the desktop, causing me to have to restart my pc or tab back into the game. I have a video of the soft lock, sorry for poor sound quality. Forgot to switch audio input to my Blue Yeti. https://streamable.com/vz25zk

By the way, sorry for selecting 1.15.2 for affected versions. I can't select 1.12.2 in the list.
