When I craft a cake with the 3 buckets of milk, egg, 2 sugar, and wheat, i just get the buckets back, and everything else disappears, along with the cake. I tried it with my sibling while playing in the same world in survival to no avail. We looked around to make sure we didnt drop or anything, and checked our inventories. No cake.
