I went through a portal to the Nether and upon returning, I couldn't access any chests. Breaking them yielded the contents,  everything was accounted for. Replacing them caused issues in updating to double chests.

Shortly after, tried to open a door and it also caused issues that rendered it broken. Had to break the door to enter my home.

I unfortunately cannot replicate it at this moment. Trips back and forth through the nether in an attempt to replicate have yielded no results.
