In the last snapshots, if you create a world with the gamerule "keepInventory" on (by switching on it directly in the settings of the map before loading it, wich is a new functionnality), the villagers in your world will be unable to take any items then (no potato, no bread...). And it's impossible to fix it with the " /gamerule keepInventory false ".
However, loading a new world with the gamerule "keepInventory" off and after typing the command "/gamerule keepInventory true" doesn't disturb the villagers and they continue to take the items.
In brief, while the command keepInventory is activated by the menu before loading the map, the villagers will not be able to take any food.
