Important
When the player is moving too fast, throwing an enderpearl will cause it to instantly collide with the player, teleporting them to the same position and cancelling all momentum. This can be best seen while using riptide III for momentum and throwing an enderpearl simultaneously using your offhand slot, or flying using elytra.
As seen in the clip attatched below, the pearl thrown collides early with the player's hitbox, and the player falls to the ground. The pearl should have flown hundreds of blocks using the trident's momentum.
Edit: Bug not present in previous release 1.15.2
