My game crashed and when i went to load back up the world i was in was gone so i went through the restore instructions from the wiki https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Tutorials/Recover_corrupted_saved_world_data

And after i go through all the steps the new world created to load the level.dat/level.dat_old and session lock from the old save i am trying to bring back, the new copy no longer appears as a world to load in the start menu
