I am currently running Minecraft with Windows 8 and Java Version 8 (build 1.8.0_74-b02)

Late April 25th I booted up Minecraft, only to find that when I logged into a multiplayer server, the majority of skins for the people around me weren't loading. I myself found that my own skin was still visable (for me) at this time.
After multiple relogs and launcher restarts, by April 26th I decided to uninstall and reinstall Minecraft, hoping that this would resolve the situation. However, upon logging into both a single-player and multiplayer session (after uploading my skin to the launcher no less (it confirmed that the skin was successfully uploaded)), I found that now every skin in the online session had disappeared along with my own. This also included custom heads utilising custom skins.
I sought to find a trend in this apparent bug, the only connection I could make being that this started happening after I had downloaded Optifine 1.15.2. However, I ran a game of Minecraft without Optifine and still encountered this problem on both single-player and multiplayer.
Has this bug been a reoccurring problem for anyone else, and regardless of whether or not it has, is there a way to fix this?
