When playing the minecraft snaphots, picking up items no longer has an animation. In older versions when you walked towards items to pick them up the items would move towards you before you picked them up. In 20w17a the items have no such animation and they just disappear from the ground and appear in your inventory suddenly. It feels weird and wrong and it should be fixed before the full release of the nether update.
