When using an empty map; the map begins to fill with an incorrect "interlaced" pattern, partially revealing what I presume is underground ores and lava.

here is an in-game screenshot, cropped to the map. for unknown reasons, this seems to only affect terrain. structures on the map remain relatively non-corrupted (might need confirmation)
