Note

After some discussion with the developers, they have now decided to only accept sort order reports if the items in question were added in the Nether Update (1.16) or later. we will now (re-)close all issues this does not apply to.

The bug

Some sort of blocks and items that are of the same type in the Creative Mode inventory aren't sorted out in groups. For example, all kinds of stairs aren't sorted at the same place of the inventory, they are mixed throughout separated inventory slots.

Note that the following lists of affected blocks & items may be incomplete.
