Today I went through my end portal once again and I was spawned in a block of endstone that I immediately had to destroy or I would suffocate, when I went up to the surface which happened to be about 20-30 blocks higher than where I spawned I was greeted with many chorus plants. the portal in a stronghold teleported me to what I believe was a completely random coordinate. Because of this my pickaxe broke when I was trying to find a random portal which resulted in my being forced to jump off of the map to get back to my base and I lost all of my stuff and now have none of my progress.
